High School Student Sponsorship Programme
Students who attend MYACS come from families who cannot afford to send them to local Government schools. All students at Government schools incur some school fees and are required to wear a school uniform.
Once students complete their Primary School education at MYACS, most cannot afford to continue on with High School education. The average monthly wage in Zambia is $58 AUD, and school fees for 2012 (including uniforms, shoes, school bag, exam fees, stationery and desk fee) total $280 AUD for the year.
Since 2007 members of Blessed to Bless have been supporting ex-MYACS students through their High School education. In 2012, there are 94 students being sponsored through High School by Blessed to Bless members. You can read about these students below.
